Gungnir, the legendary spear of Odin, stands as one of the most powerful Isu weapons available in Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Known for its immense reach and passive force field effect, this mythical weapon can dramatically alter your combat strategy. Acquiring it requires significant story progression, as it is strictly tied to late-game narrative events in Norway.

Prerequisites and Story Requirements

To obtain Gungnir naturally through story progression, you must complete all main territory pledges across England. Once all pledges are finished, Sigurd will prompt Eivor to return to Norway for the late-game main quest titled A Brother's Keeper. This mission opens up access to the northernmost region of Hordafylke where the spear is hidden.

Exact Location of Odin's Spear

During the A Brother's Keeper quest, Sigurd leads Eivor into a icy cavern called Goinnhellir in northern Hordafylke. Inside the cave, follow Sigurd until the main pathway splits into two distinct directions. While Sigurd heads right toward the main objective, take the left path through a narrow gap in the stone wall where a glowing spear sits embedded in the rock face.

Stat Requirements and How to Claim Gungnir

Interacting with Gungnir requires Eivor to have at least four adrenaline bars fully unlocked in the skill tree. If you attempt to pull the spear without four filled adrenaline slots, Eivor will be unable to claim it. Once extracted, Gungnir can be dual-wielded alongside other heavy weapons using the Heavy Dual Wield skill for unrivaled range and damage.
